"I was once homeless, sleeping at the Salvation Army camp in Portland, ME with my kids."It all started when our founder immigrated to the US and experienced challenges of relocating to a new country, plus the expose to a new Cultural shock and adjustment, Loneliness, the Language Barriers, Legal and Bureaucratic Challenges with the immigration process and lifestyle firsthand with no guidance which led her to being disoriented and misunderstand the immigration process and the steps forward that leads to missing certain steps of the immigration process. She learnt that moving to a new country or state it's not an easy process to go through, therefore, she had the idea to put in one place the most needed information about resources and support created to provide services to new Mainers and not limited to that. As a form of gratitude, she decided to give back and help others, providing her contribution to the country that received her when she most needed. Therefore, minimizing on others the struggles, she had to go through with relocating to a foreign land.
